What is TABE?
TABE 11&12, the most recent edition of the Test of Adult Basic Education, is an exam that measures skills and abilities that are important for college and career readiness. The TABE is the most widely-used assessment by workplaces in the U.S. to assess basic adult skills.
TABE 11&12 is divided into three sections – reading, language, and mathematics – that examine the test-taker’s knowledgebase and critical thinking skills relevant to the workplace and real-life situations. It has four levels that increase in difficulty to measure the extent of those skills:
• Level E – easy
• Level M – medium
• Level D – difficult
• Level A – advanced
Each level emphasizes different proficiencies to ensure a well-rounded view of your abilities in the given subject.
To ensure success upon taking the TABE, it is important to prepare with practice exams to be familiar with the types of questions that you may see on the official exam. Our site provides practice questions for all three sections and four difficulty levels to help you best prepare for TABE 11&12. Get started now with your TABE 11&12 prep!
